Where to kite?

Hi everybody!

My wife and I will be in Kingston starting next monday for the hole week.

Is there a spot we can go kiting close to the city or not too far?

Is Kingston Fall on the river safe to ride?

Thanks a lot!

Marcel

i would be very careful going out on any ice around Kingston. It has been very warm all year, and some spots just froze over the last few days. Maybe some others will post here with some areas they checked but i've not been out on the ice yet.

I wish I knew some good fields with the recent snow.

Thanks for your reply and advise Mike!

I might call it off simply. But i'll go and check it out just by curiosity. Nothing else to do anyway during the day, babysitting 3 grandchildren rest of the time.OUFFF!! emoticon

Westport should have a decent thickness...

Look's like another pile of snow or water for wednesday! No field available? That's a shame! emoticon

À suivre!

It's too bad....I didn't bring my equipment.

I went to Kingston Mills on tuesday. The perfect conditions like I love.

Almost a pool table surface and to my observation at least 8-12 inches of ice on the shore and probably the same right across.

First launching spot is 500m before de dam on the south side.I guess I could've parked on some of the inside streets.

Went also to have a look at the boat ramp on Aragon Rd.(NO side). I saw trace of snowmobile cumming in and out.

Colonel By lake look's like a super spot and big enough for me to have fun. Next time for sure...

Cheers!

Marcel
