The Bularoo works ell too, both are quite beefy. Biggest difference would be that the Bularoo has one point inflation back in the wind window a bit more. So the Waroo is probably a bit better going up wind. As for size, if you need one kite only, I'd suggest a 13m for your weight. Hmmmm and i know just the place to get one Another Kite to consider would be the Ocean Rodeo Rise. We're down in Hatteras right now testing them, and honest truth....the most fun I've ever had kiting was yesterday riding the 10m rise. We have a full copliment of demo kites if you wanna try one. Okay sales pitch over, if you have anymore questions or want to schedule an rise demo just send me an e-mail. What is a decent size strictly for winter kiting, in those models, for 75-80Kg rider? Would it make a difference skis or board?nondisclosed_email@example.com (fishkc79)Mon, 07 Apr 2008 10:32:17 +0000 Re: Winter Kite Questionhttps://bkiteboardingkingston.runboard.com/p320,from=rss#post320https://bkiteboardingkingston.runboard.com/p320,from=rss#post320Hey John, If you want to try out either of our Montanna III's to see if you like 'em let Bri,Brent or myself know and we'll set up a time for a demo. If your going to get just one kite, and its an open cell foil like the montana, the 9m is the best option for the average rider (175 lbs). If your 100 lbs the 5 might do. generally a 10-12m SLE/bow kite a 12-14m C kite or a 13-16m arc will all do well for our winters. nondisclosed_email@example.com (brent4336)Mon, 04 Feb 2008 12:17:13 +0000 Re: Winter Kite Questionhttps://bkiteboardingkingston.runboard.com/p306,from=rss#post306https://bkiteboardingkingston.runboard.com/p306,from=rss#post306I have a little experience with the Montanna's....depends how heavy/light you are. a 5.0m sounds a bit small to me though. It'd be a good high wind kite. We've been riding with the 7.5m and 9.0m montanna III's with great success. I used a 5.0m h.q. apex in about 38-40knts. in the water this past fall if that tells you anything. Just some thoughts. I have a line on a 5.0m Montana II. My question is: is a 5m Montana enough kite for the typical winter wind condtions around Kingston? Any thoughts would be appreciated?
