Looking For Beginner Gear

Hello all,

I'm really interested in getting involved in the sport and am looking for some beginner gear. I thought starting to look for gear in Kingston may be the best place to start. Firstly, I am in need of a training kite. 2-3m so I can practice and get a feeling for flying.

Ideally I would also like to get a complete 8-10m kite and board (142cm would be best). I'm an experienced windsurfer and have a harness and the appropriate safety equipment. Furthermore, if there is anyone would be interested in providing some brief lessons (or know where I could do a safety training course near Kingston) to learn how to self rescue, and the other kite safety procedures clsoer to the end of the month (so I have some time to practice with the trainer) any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking first on the forum here to feel out if there is anyone with beginner gear kicking around that they could get rid of, however I recognize how much equipment a complete package contains, and that ultimately the best route may be to buy all new online.

Thank you in advnace for the help!

Hi, my friend and I might have the stuff you need and yes we can go over safety with you. Helps that you are windsurfer.
We have a few packages set up to help locals get into the sport. Don't have much stock but anything we do sell is the same or lower than the best price you can find online.
Best thing to do would be contact us (kiteman57 at yahoo.com) and let us tell/show you what we currently have available. Prices range from $500 to $2000 for kite, bar, lines, pump and board.
oh, and yes, for sure get a trainer kite! We have Slingshot B2's and B3's.

Still looking for equipment. I'm a student and am on a budget..but I'm looking for a 10-14m kite (need everything except a harness), for around $400-$500. Also need a wakeboard style board that is over 136cm. If anyone has anything kicking around I would love to set up a time to look over the gear and set things up. You can email me at ewaskob@gmail.com or text/call my cell phone at (519)-375-5323. I want to get in the water ASAP so the sooner I can get some gear the better.
