valve glue

One of my bladder valves has been leaking. I've taken it off but haven't found a good glue to put it back on, anyone know of a good glue for bonding plastics.

thanks

Re: valve glue

I just replaced my inflate valve but I bought it from 'Kitefix'. Whatever glue that was used on the replacement valve was great! http://www.kitefix.com/catalog/index.php That probably is your best bet. I had it in 2 days.

Re: valve glue

Did you glue it? Or did you buy the whole valve and use the peel and stick.

If you ever need to glue a valve use aquaseal. It looks like shoe goo but actually cures. Don't use shoe goo.

Yeah Aquaseal is the stuff you want. I've also used the peel and stick replacement valves and supplemented with a small bead of Aquaseal. Don't think it is absolutely necessary but mine has held up well so far.

sold hundreds of tubes when I ran my windsurfing store for 10 years. great for repairing wetsuits too.
Where can I buy it town?
Used to store it in the freezer after opening to make sure it didn't dry out.

West marine said it wasn't available in canada anymore. Health concerns?

I used the Lepage flexible plastic glue and it appears to be working.

MEC carries it, if you have an order over $50 shipping is free:

http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/Paddling/RepairMaintenance/PRD~1999-101/mcnett-aquaseal.jsp

Their neoprene booties and gloves are a super good value.
