looking for Advice on Cabarete

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can provide advice on the kiting conditions and locations in Cabarete, DR. Are there any NO KITING ZONES? Any places with a nasty shore break to contend with? Also if anyone's stayed at places they'd recommend.
Insights are much appreciated.
Cheers,
Paul

Talk to Dave Mody, or Brian Watson if you can. I think they have both spent a fair bit of time there.

Talking to Kiteman Watson, I was put off by fear of crowds on the water. It gets dangerous at kite point cape Hatteras on a big day. Im booked into Cayo Coco Cuba Feb 01. Scope: www.bestkiteboarding.com/site/travel/Cayo Coco Cuba.htm
I've nevr been there, but the this mans info sold me.

Re: looking for Advice on Cabarete

Cayo Coco is awesome!! I was there several years ago, before I got into Kiting. But the wind blasted every day and i did lots of Cat sailing. the place was relatively empty since there are no real communities near by except for the resorts. there is a huge shallow water section all along the beach with a bit of a break a few 100m's out. would actually be very nice now that I think of it. I was talking to the guys at Silents sports in TO and they were suggesting Cuba too, but I'm booked in for Cabarete this year.
