Alaia Surfboard
Has anybody ever considered building an Alaia surfboard for kiting?
I saw recently that naish has an alaia that they are selling as a kiteboard SEE HERE. I have read very positive things about the board especially in light winds.
It seems to me that this could be a VERY easy board to make just to have another board to play around with. Just wanted to know if anybody has any experience to share!

Re: Alaia Surfboard
I have not built one but I agree the concept is cool. The flat rocker and long edge should make it work well in really light wind. The ktown chop might be difficult though. You could just try a piece of plywood scrap and give it a shot. You could get fancy later if you like the feel. Homedepot sells a grit you can add to paint or varnish for traction on the deck.
