Good winds for Sandbanks?

Whats the preferred wind direction to ride at Sandbanks?? I'm thinking of going down tomorrow and the guru says they are calling for S to SE. Even if it doesn't go above the forecast of 9 knots it should at least make a nice trip with the GF.
Any info on riding sandbanks would be a huge help, I've never kited there before.

SE is an unrideable direction for sandbanks (as far as i know). S to NE works well, with SW and NW being the best.

Maybe someone else will have some more info for SE. I know some windsurfers hit pt. petre, but its a rocky shoreline and an advance site (but i have never seen the spot myself)

Check the kingston riding map under the rider info tab on the KBK site.

There is a ton and I mean a TON of info on the site (Kudo Brian). Browse it and you'll get a pretty good overview of what we have learned around here over the past many years.
