Repairing strut tube?

Does anyone know a way to create a seal in a strut? I have a rip at the end of my strut. If I could somehow recreate a seal above the rip, it would fix it. Not the actual kite but the tube or blank or whatever you call it.

I basically need to 'weld' the plastic?

Alternatively, I could patch it. The rip is about the size of a loonie? Is there a preferable way to do this?

Thanks.

talk to Brian at KBK, he stocks patch kits for bladders that work really well. You could weld it with an iron, but only if the strut bladder would still reach down to the end of the strut - if there is space between your weld and the end of the strut, the bladder will just explode when you inflate it.
