Re: I broke my kite

Hey,

That sucks,

Give us an idea of the damage and we can figure out what's going to work best.

Options are: you fix it, we fix it, the sail shop fixes it.

We carry a product called kitefix that is rediculously good. There are a number of riders in K-town who have kites resurected with this stuff. Uber strong and pretty easy on the eye.

We can sell you some, you can have us do it, and if its more than we can handle we will refer you J.C. down at the Sail Loft. He does killer work.

Then again,,,,,, if you want a new kite we can help you there too! Best, F-one, Slingshot, or Royal. Lots of toys to choose from. Hoping to have gear for yall to to demo soon.

Peace,

B

Some options

Hi,

I saw the rip in the leading edge yesterday. I have helped a friend repair a rip almost the same as yours with kitefix and its still working well.

If you are really good with a neadle and thread you could sew it but I would probably let the sail maker do that. JC was really good with fixing a big tair in my panel but I dont know if he can do the leading edge as you need to have access to both sides of the material to put it through the machine.

That being said you could get it stitched right from one end to about 1 inch of the other end. Then pop the machine out though the whole and kitefix the rest.

One more option is to use spinaker tape but I doubt that will hold if the glue gets warmed in the sun under pressure.

As for the bladder kitefix has these massive stickers to put over holes that you could use.

Take care,

Michael
