Re: Kingston Water Cam

Hi,
wrt the water cam and the winter's effect, have you tried to place an old sunglasses lens in front of the camera? Since they are made for inside and this one is obviously saturated by the outside light. Therefore it is a very cheap way to compensate for the extra light. Give it a try you will see the difference right away. If not then it's always refreshing to look at the way it is now and tks again for setting this up.

Dany.

Re: Kingston Water Cam

Hi,

Thanks for the tip, however, it is actually a problem of having removed the NearIR filter when I upgraded the webcams lens. IF anyone has a IR filter let me know and I can put it up.
Perhaps from an old IR remote?

Cheers,

M

there is absolutely nothing worse than a windy day, when you have no time to go kiting, and watching the kites float across the screen on the webcam .........

The cam is back up and running again - http://kiteboardingkingston.com/weather.html

Ignore the black specks on the image - dust appears to have worked its way inside the camera.
